FEMA Tired Of Bad News, Tries To Create It’s Own
FEMA recently held a press conference to discuss the fires in California. To all outward appearances it was just a normal press conference and portions of it were broadcast on several major networks.
Well it now turns out that this press conference wasn’t quite what it seemed. It’s been discovered that the people called on for questions weren’t reporters at all, they were FEMA employees.
To be fair, the Bush administration has been quick to denounce this FEMA tactic. I hope they’ll take action to insure that this doesn’t happen again.
Update: As Joseph points out on Plunderbund, this is pretty much par for the course with the Bush administration.
