I don’t hate Dennis Kucinich, I don’t hate Dennis Kucinich, I don’t hate Dennis Kucinich… Ahh, who am I kidding?

During yesterday’s roll call vote on the Iraq War funding bill tied to troop withdrawals Dennis Kucinich voted against it.  Once again we have a case of a bill not going far enough for Kucinich. Seriously the man needs to learn that even a small step in the right direction is better than nothing.

His primary opponent, Rosemary Palmer, gets this.  She’s put out at another press release slamming Kucinich for is his inability to work well with others.  She’s also announced a press conference (which is open to the public) where she will announce her ” non-partisan plan” to bring our troops home from Iraq.

Also from the Palmer campaign comes yet another witty video:

dk is not being ‘negative’ and purely partisian…

while he may make people even on the dem side feel uncomfortable and at times seems unruly…

it is his pure committment to an absolutist kind of approach that drives any principle in this entire debate…

i’m not necessarily a big fan of dk..in many ways…

his appearance throws me off in fact, [talk about shallow!]

but…i give him credit for being right on not only this war, from the very start, a LONG time ago…

but on Many issues the dems are even now…seemingly losing the confidence of many across this nation in managing…

dk’s high moral toned voting record is the stuff that real serious thinkers consider when not wanting to walk in the cesspool of compromise which got us into this devils den in Iraq in the first place by buying into the idea that lies can ever provide a platform upon which any major country’s policies can ultimately rest, much less become a basis for moderate resurrections…or “redirections”…

we do need to simply stop this war as soon as possible and get back our billions so we can fix the ills of our nation and hopefully find some mercy in the eternal’s eyes…

if not in that of the suffering iraqi…innocents…

    remember also rfk said..

“its immoral for a superpower to wage war against a small nation”

its plainly was in 1968 and it remains immoral in 2008

I agree that Kucinich was right on a lot of things early on (before it was popular), and I respect that. I’ve also heard a lot of things about Kucinich that disturb me though. He seems to place more focus on grandstanding than he does on actually getting things accomplished.

There’s another Democrat running against him in the primary for his House seat, Rosemary Palmer. She shares Dennis’ views on a lot of things but she seems like she’s much more focused on the concerns of the district than Kucinich is.

Enough with DK. He isn’t working for the people of the 10th, he is prancing around with his child bride going to concerts and big ticket events. He doesn’t care about anything but raising his own profile. I think it’s way past time that Dennis get a job and start working for a living, for a change. I think a vote for Palmer is in order, and I don’t say that lightly. The 10th needs representation, not a freakish clown in DC.
