With the holidays fast approaching (if not already in progress) Rep. Zack Space is asking students in his district to write letters to our soldiers serving overseas.

“It saddens me that so many of our brave men and women will not be able to feel the joy that normally accompanies this season because they are thousands of miles away from their families. Hopefully, receiving a small token of gratitude will help bridge those miles.”

“What better way to thank our troops abroad than to send a holiday card to let them know their sacrifices are appreciated by all of us back home?”

– Rep. Zack Space

Teachers in the 18th district that are interested in participating should be able to find details over at Space’s House website. You can also shoot me an email and I’ll pass them on. One thing I should mention is that letters should submitted by December 14th.

Update - 1:51 PM 12/6/2007: Information about the program can be found here.

In other Space related news, CQ Politics has a story up about Space’s reelection campaign.
