I hope you get to see him. I’m no fan of his, but the chance to see a former President is something you shouldn’t pass up. I got to see Bush 1 when he was running for reelection. The security and the formality around everything was something to see.

I passed at the chances to see candidates this spring when they came through and I regret it. I heard of one person who criss-crossed the state trying to get his picture with each of the candidates. This way no matter who wins, he’ll have a picture with the new president.

I probably will try to head down to Marietta tomorrow. I’m leaning heavily towards Obama but it’s always interesting to hear the candidates and public officials speak. I’d probably go watch McCain if he stopped down there as well.

In 2004 I actually ended up in a unique situation. I attended a John Kerry rally on the bank of the Ohio River in Wheeling, WV while President Bush campaigned nearby in Ohio. While waiting on Kerry to arrive we saw President Bush’s caravan cross the river at the nearby I-70 bridge. So technically I saw both candidates in one day.
